Members of the firm have been quoted by and appeared on national media, including the BBC, and have contributed to legal textbooks and professional training in immigration and human rights law
We act in complex immigration, asylum, protection, public law, and business immigration cases for individuals, families, local authorities, and businesses.
Clients usually come to us at difficult moments. We listen carefully, explain options in clear language, and focus on the most realistic way forward.
Our work is guided by three core principles:
- Clear, honest advice about prospects and risk
- Careful preparation of evidence and legal arguments
- Realistic timescales and costs explained before work begins
Our Origin & Purpose
Migrant Law Partnership was founded in 2012 in response to a structural problem in immigration and asylum law.
Access to specialist advice was narrowing. Public funding was contracting. Fixed-fee commercial models were expanding, often prioritising speed and volume over proper preparation. For people facing removal, family separation, or prolonged insecurity, the system increasingly failed to reflect what was at stake
Migrant Law Partnership was established to operate differently.
From the outset, the focus has been on complex, high-impact cases that do not fit volume-driven workflows. This includes long-residence cases, family and private life applications, asylum claims, appeals, detention, and deportation matters, as well as business and work-related immigration .
We take on fewer cases than traditional firms and spend more time on each. The priority is proper case-building: evidence, credibility, legal analysis, and strategy. That approach remains unchanged.
Our Structure
Migrant Law Partnership operates as a not-for-profit legal practice.
All income is reinvested into:
- client casework
- legal research and training
- the long-term sustainability of the practice on fewer cases than traditional firms,
There are no shareholders and no profit extraction. Decisions about fees, workload, and case acceptance are driven by whether a case can be handled to the standard it deserves.
